Tricycle in development
discipline: computational art theme: binary/geometry
A projection piece displaying the circles described by a triangle. Circles and triangles are diametrically opposed figures with respect to their degrees of smoothness/acuteness.
The two geometric figures are used to manifest the forces – attractive and otherwise – that structure the interactions of people within groups.
The vertices of the triangle are centred on, and follow 3 people around the room till a new person enters the room. The oldest vertex is then detached and re-assigned to the newly entered figure. Consequently the circles shift, torque, expand, and contract as social clusters form and are re-aligned in relation to new entrants.
