PLEASE TAKE ONE
A series of collages – 15 in total – using freely-available advertising postcards and similar materials. The compositions denaturalize the profusion of consumer imagery from which they arise, to create a space of non-instrumental visuality.
Individual compositions are linked to each other when they share a common color in the web palette. The navigational paradigm retains certain "holes" in the structure – despite sharing a topographical level, not all pages are available from each other – in order to reinforce a point of resistance to the overwhelmingly commercial nature of public visual communications.
