Manheim is the world's largest provider of vehicle remarketing services. In 2007, Manheim handled nearly 10 million used vehicles, facilitating transactions online and through live auctions, representing more than $59 billion in value.

Over time the site had developed organically as an aggregation of un-unified applications that accessed different inventory channels. The core objectives of the redesign were to transform the Manheim dealer application into the preferred online access point into the global wholesale vehicle marketplace for Manheim's dealer customers, and to integrate their operating locations to create a consistent market-wide set of capabilities/services and a unified source of vehicle inventory

The team used an agile approach to research, design, specification, and development to rapidly deliver value in core focus areas, while building the foundation for a site-wide overhaul of information architecture and visual design. The new design simplified dealers' processes for locating vehicles across multiple auction locations and inventory channels, and increased their operational efficiency across the entire auction cycle.
