A field of flex cables suspended from the ceiling in a grid pattern. The cables are spaced roughly 6" apart, occupy the entire breadth of the space, and reach down to about waist height.
The installation materialises a thick space – one whose density is the tangible corollary to the overcoded meanings which unavoidably adhere to space in social relations. The space is at once resistant and playful, oppositional and propulsive.
